SINCE THE last millennium the artistry of David Reed (aka Dr. Easy)has been earning respect from audiences and critics alike throughout the northeast USA, Europe and the Caribbean. A founding member of the seminal jam rock band, Max Creek in 1971, Reed has since developed into a delightful fingerstyle acoustic guitarist & multi-instrumentalist (ever heard a 'Reggae Banjo' or a conch shell 'TuTu'?), explorational singer/songwriter, way-cool whistler and seasoned performer. The good "Dakta" brings a smile to the face and a tap to the toe of young and old with his sensational blend of rockin' NewFolk, rompin' ragtime, snappy country blues, inspired original songs and wonderous interpretations of many other popular artists' songs . . . all served up with a dash of spicy, sun-drenched Caribbean reggae & calypso.

REED WAS chosen as a semi-finalist in the 2004 Newport Folk Festival Songwriting Contest and he received international recognition when he was profiled in the April 2006 issue of Acoustic Guitar magazine and his song, Dr. Easy, was selected for the 2007 Oasis "Blues Sampler VII" recording. His passionate, banjo-driven solo performance of "True Religion" brought down the house during the cathedral gospel concert of the 2004 Blues to Bop Festival in Lugano, Switzerland.

AS A QUIXOTIC writer of essays, short stories and reviews, Reed's work has been published in several regional newspapers and magazines. You'll find a collection of his whimsical, often personal, stories right here in the TamPro Web Journal. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll go for pizza!

WHETHER YOU seek an eclectic and lively performer for your house concert, coffeehouse, club or festival stage, or a subtle, perfect complement to a fine dining or private party/picnic experience, David Reed is your man for the plan.
